Dominican Republic Wedding | Nathalie & Matthew

This wedding, oof. I met Nathalie back in 2013 in what feels like another lifetime. We worked together at the Wawona Hotel in Yosemite National Park, now called the Big Trees Lodge. We instantly clicked and I’d drag the poor girl on some gnarly hikes within the park. We’ve kept in touch from a distance over the years and I see her every so often when I make my yearly pilgrimage back into the park.

Every year is a little different, we grow a little more, and relationships change. The last time I saw her in Yosemite was about two years ago and she’d already started seeing Matthew. She was positively glowing with joy and I was so happy with her.

So naturally I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph their wedding in the Dominican Republic! Nathalie being from there, I knew she was going to set us all up for a great adventure and week in the D.R. Needless to say, she didn’t disappoint. So here is Nathalie & Matthew’s beautiful Dominican Republic wedding in Puerto Plata.
