Vivid & Tropical Pomarius Nursery & Blockhouse Wedding in Portland

Pooja and Monica met 10 years ago now while in Graduate School at the University of Michigan. They’re self-proclaimed public policy nerds and business owners/consultants who spend their hearts and minds thinking about how to create good public policy. After being together for 9 of those 10 years they decided to finally get their act together to do this damned wedding thing. Monica is half Filipina/half White and Pooja is first generation Indian American.

Their main priority was making sure their day was hella low stress for their closest friends and family. As a part of that they ipted not to have a wedding party. But they did want to have a non-traditional wedding with about 50 guests that was a blend of both of their cultures. They were able to achieve that vision of a low maintenance day was still classy and fun with good food by POC-owned businesses, great photos, and good music.
