Modern Chic Abacela Winery Wedding in Roseburg, Oregon
Dave and Meredith first met on a Bumble date at a bar that Dave picked. They say they have way too many favorite memories of each other to pick just one, but within just a few weeks they already knew they were “the one.” They had a surprise proposal while exploring a salt marsh outside of Savannah, Georgia. They got married at Abacela Winery in Southern Oregon, surrounded by beautiful vineyards.Their wedding was everything they could have wanted and more. They danced the night away with their friends and family, and they say it was the best day of their lives!
But the kicker is this: Dave and Meredith’s wedding was the first one held at Abacela Winery and with good reason… it’s owned by Meredith’s parents and she grew up working the fields and stomping the grapes! They were very excited to host their friends and family there for a lively celebration of their love. They consider themselves very laidback and mostly wanted a huge dance party with food trucks, kegs, and of course wine. I think they delivered!
In their own words, about their wedding day they said, “We want it to be a special day, but we’re not too concerned with anything that takes away from the sentiment of why we’re all there. We live and work in Brooklyn, NY. I’m a Cinematographer and Meredith works in Public Health. We love to be outside gardening, backpacking and rock climbing. Meredith is a big salsa dancer and I try to keep up. We follow the news (probably too much) and culture pretty voraciously, and we love to cook, hang with friends and learn about different cultures.”
